I have to talk POLISH!

It should dilute the coloration. I know if you cross GL with crele you get crele with chest feathering that looks a lot like GL and NOT like crele.

okey doke- 2 just hatched, so I'll soon know (when they get bigger) One is pure white crested black- have some of those in there. I have a White Crested roo and 2 hens.

I think the rest are going to be later. Power went out during incubation, they got a little cold.

Chicks are just to darn cute or i need to get a life besides chickens /img/smilies/smile.png

NO NO NO!!!! I can NOT buy more chicks!!!! I went by the feed store and they had Silver Laced and Buff Laced Polish day old chicks. Some of them have beards. I want one of each SOOOOOOOOO Bad!!!!

wow our feed stores stopped having chicks a couple weeks ago. I wouldn't be able to pass up polish!

I'll get some vitamins today. I already did the vit B. Thanks!

We lost 2 of our new polish chicks last night. One I had a feeling wasn't going to make it when we received them but the other was a shock. The other one I was worried about is still hanging on but doesn't look like she'll pull through and then we have one more that looks like she won't make it and she was doing fine yesterday.
The two that I didn't suspect at first were eating and drinking, running around, etc. Then they just stop having any interest in food and sleep while they waste away. No crusty stuff, no sneezing, no pasty butt, etc.
I've put electrolytes and ACV in their water.
Anything else I can do at this young age for the rest of the group so I don't lose anymore?
I make them wet mash from the crumbles to get the appetite going. And for my Polish and silkie chicks I always grind the chick feed down smaller. Sometimes it's just too big for them.
