I have to talk POLISH!

Nooooo, no little roos! I have three of my six that are looking like roos. Two that I am positive of, but one that we just can't tell yet. I can keep one, maybe two, but certainly not three.

It's to early to tell yet, but just the fact it is standing so tall, my only roo was the only chick that always stood up really tall, like I say it is way to early to tell, and I'm kinda new to this just saying from my experience it could be a boy x

I've never hear that one before, or I should say yet, as we are new to this. Does that seem to work for only polish or other breeds as well?

I feel that Polish are really hard to tell. The one in my Avatar was a "roo" till about 14 weeks! Olley became Olive then became Laverne. Last night, they're all up on their roost and she would not shut up. She was ba-bawking really loud for a while. Maybe she laid an egg in the evening.

Funny, the only ones I can tell pretty young is Silkies. By behavior. The girls just act like girls. The girls keep a lower stature. Who knows. The chick has a round poof. I've heard that one too.

Oh yea, Lucille, a Polish hen, was a "roo" until she laid an egg, and I still was not ready to say "girl".

That's what I mean it really is to early to tell, and I agree that I think polish are probably one of the hardest, till they lay and egg or crow lol, I just noticed with my chicks that the one that was always standing the tallest turned out to be roo, could of just been a coincidence, would be interested to know when you know for sure though x

My 10 week old was said to be a roo on here several weeks ago. He brings the girls in at night. He perks up when I pick up a pullet and she screams like I am killing her-even though I am gentle. So yeah mine was confirmed by you guys and then confirmed by behavior.

I had to put a young randy roo in with these 2 docile females . The first female put him in his place. The 2nd one is chased all over the place. Well somehow, he cut his toe and I took him to bandage him. Then I made a bandage with many layers. It may stay on for a month. I'm sure it will slow him down!!!
