I love the Polish. They are so hilarious when they dance for their ladies. Those and the Silkies just crack me up! I remember when I brought my first Polish chick home. I thought there was something wrong with it because it had the "bump" on it's head! Tee-hee!

Just wanted to announce, I ordered the 'Crested Special' from ideal poultry. They are either gonna be Polish's, Houdan's, Crevecour's, or Sultans. Hoping for Polish's though.

I got mine from ideal, i'm not very happy with them most of them have crocked toes.

im kinda new to this thread but was wondering if any of you know or are breeders of some frizzles i pefer buff lace but will consider other colors i would pefer chicks or juvenilles

How well do Polish frizzles do in the cold?

They don't do as well as a lot of the other breeds. Polish are not known for their cold tolerance and then when you make all their feathers go the wrong way it makes them even less so. I had a silver laced polish frizzle rooster that I loved, unfortunately he did not like other chickens so he had to be kept separately. During one of the first cold spells I lost him. Now I have another chick who seems to be doing just fine with all of his buddies
