I have to talk POLISH!

Pics
I don't know if I'd say they're really big, but they're bigger than some other breeds out there and good Polish are meatier and heavier than you'd think.

As for shipping, I always write LIVE EMBRYOS on my boxes. Keeps people guessing or thinking the wrong thing, thus making them more careful. The ladies working at my local PO thought I was literally shipping human embryos.

As for distance, I've shipped to NJ with good fertility/hatch rate before, good and bad things can always happen, but the safe distance I'd say is stay on your side of the Miss. river or Rockies if you're too worried. Personally I like receiving eggs from wherever, because if I really want something I'll get it.

Illia - these are not quite as big as my EE, but are just as solid.

As for the eggs, I usually write live embryos as well, and yes I've had on more than once occasion been asked about them being human embryos...I'm like REALLY!?! Like I would trust the post office with my own embryos? OMG lol

I'll hopefully be receiving LF Gold Laced (and a few Buff Laced) Polish day old chicks relatively soon.

I had a Buff Laced hen early last year that we lost to a nighttime predator, I really miss having her around.
I can't wait for the little poofy headed fuzzy butts.

At 2 weeks, not a good guess. My baby "roo" turned into a girl!

The first thing you can almost be sure of is that hens lay girls/boy eggs alternating days. Your chance of getting 50/50 are pretty good. I wish we all could hatch females.

Just wanted to share a pic of one of my new polish babies. They are a week old today. I love the color but I'm still not sure what it is. Hoping for pullets to put with my WCB roo.
