Thank you! I am close to picking the keepers and selling or culling the ones that don't hold up to what I want. I think a few more weeks to see how they fill out. I still have bald spots on a few.

Please help me with my son's Buff laced pullet. Last Saturday I was holding her and noticed the bottom of her feet were cracked so much some were bleeding (small amount). They were all dried out feeling. Her legs are okay. No raised scales. So I pulled her out to put her inside so I could treat the bottom of her feet. I have used neosporin, some Bannix (is anitfugal/baterial to prevent invection). I am not sure what it is. I dont think its mites since her leg is okay. Today they are not bleeding but still cracked, skin looks rough around her feet. What can I do to fix this?
Oh she is oily looking because I dipped her legs in cooking oil thinking it was mites. So she is slick.

3chickensinnc, that might be bumblefoot. Are there any swellings on the top?
Try VetRx for poultry on the legs and feet. It may help...
What kind of roost do you have? It might be irritating her feet? She might be allergic to the wood? If the VetRx doesn't help, you might try Bag Balm (developed for milk cows with mastitis) it works wonders. You can use it on people and animals. It is an antiseptic and is great for super dry, cracked skin.I do have this. Should I rub it in the feet? I only have used it in water
Our Walmart pharmacy carries bag balm at a lower price than the hardware/feed store. I hate to advertise walmart but choices for shopping where I live are limited and I do need to watch prices. What kind of roost do you have? It might be irritating her feet? Good luck with your girl! I hope she gets better![]()
This is what it looks like to help you find it at the feed store. I think even drug stores carry it.
