If I were showing, I would be vaccinating for diseases that you can't quarantine for, such as Marek's and some respiratory illnesses-things that chickens can be carriers of. And with Marek's, vaccinated chickens can still be exposed and be carriers.
WC Black Bearded and Non-bearded are accepted in the standard for bantam, non- bearded only for LFHi, hopping to show some of my polish next year, hatched a load of chicks from a breeder so they will be ready by then but my 2 pullets with the nicest crests are both bearded wc blacks is this ok? would they be put down or even disqualified?
My little cuckoo hen who's going to be 4 soon does some really weird colour changes in her moult, 2 moults ago she was a perfect white and slate baring but after the moult she turned white and chocolate and this time she seems to be going back to white + slate, is it normal to change colour this much and should I be breeding out of her or just keeping her as a pet?
She looks a bit dirty in this pic, but you can see her beard...

Quote: Are you sure about this? I checked the Polish Breeders Club website and didn't see that LF could not be bearded. Can you send a link to your source? Thanks, always learning!
