I can't imagine any judge would recommend getting hatchery stock to use to make improvements.

Well this is the same judge who I am not very fond of. He missed a bunch of flaws in the silkie class. He also placed highly ones that were disgustingly dirty. But that's what he told her to do. How is the beard lacing on toulouse? He is only 5 months old so he's still growing and isn't fully feathered, he had lice and possibly mites too and was super dirty. But he was only $10. I can't wait to see how he grows! He's still quite tiny.

I have a question: is white crested cuckoo (NB) an approved color in bantams? I could not tell by looking through the SOP. I will try to post pictures of him "sometime" since I keep having a hard time uploading. Thanks!

How cool and unusual! What color is he? We had some very pretty crele colored, but they must have had a heart defect because both roos died suddenly when they were young (not at the same time, but within 1 year of life).
