She was the only survivor of shipped eggs. Only one other developed. It died in the egg, so I had nothing to lose. This chick is all by herself for now. I tried puting her in with the hen that hatched her, but that didn't go well. Anyway, this chick will drink if I dip her beak and will peck at the food if I have a piece on my finger. I also made a wet mash, so she has both to choose from. This is day 3 now. She can walk, but doesn't. I chopped up some egg today to see if that would tantalize her. She pecked once on my finger and that was it. Is she just slow to progress because I helped her hatch? She was also 4 days late in her pipping. I know she's lonely, so I'll get 2 new silkies tomorrow. They are coming in to the feed store today. Any other suggestions?
