I hope I made the right decision...

An amazing rebound is pretty common in both humans and animals. Sort of a last rally before passing on. If she IS diabetic, then she needs to be TREATED as well as to get the necessary medication for her heart problems.
To do otherwise is just cruel and heartless. The dog is left to suffer because of a human's hope for a miracle.

It's also normal for ALL animals to hide sickness as long as possible. In the wild, the sick are eatten or left to die. Unfortunately, in the human world that means they are left to suffer because "the vet must be wrong. She's not acting sick"
 
I think you did the right thing, for sure..
I wonder if she perked up because she was in a familar spot? Like going home to pass? Now that she is content, or got to say goodbye to you, she may, give up? sorry to mention this, but from video, I would not be in a rush to put her down. Although I am no vet..

Keep the dog's best interests at heart and you will know when it is time. Any medical conditions do need to be treated, however.
