I idea what this rooster is

This is a 6 month old rooster that wasn’t supposed to be…whatever this is…he came with a batch of Brahmans….any idea what breed and temperament he is. He has a very fluffy white patch just above his tail. Not a typical feather, more like fluffy down feathers. So far he hasn’t acted dominant at all. He just goes with the flow. Any ideas…

The black and colors look right for a Barnvelder, but what about that goofy white fluffy area on his back?

The black and colors look right for a Barnvelder, but what about that goofy white fluffy area on his back?

That’s is just his down feathers showing. It looks like he is still growing some of his feathers in, so he probably will wind up having feathers growing over those to cover up those down feathers. Some Barnevelders have darker under feathers, but a lot of them have white patched under feathers.
