My vent is with people that look down on others...who cares if they think a duck is a silkie?..or whatever....i think its nice that they stopped to speak to you..did you ever think of it that way?...and who cares if someone thinks her dog is a yorkie?...why not do the nice thing and explain that you think its not a yorkie, and tell her why you dont think it is.. because maybe she honestly dosent know...and would be thankful for your advice...

..(just my opinion though)..i find that being nice to others and treating them how i would like to be treated always works for me...because you will be wrong also one day..and how would you feel if someone called you an idiot?..again..this is just my opinion...Peace,

i think the people that worry about that should remember that dogs eat poop, willingly and cats lick their bottoms. our cats did horribly on 'designer food'. not just during a 'switch' either. they got fat and had bad hair balls. we switched to plain old Purina and they look like a million bucks now. go figure.

I know how you feel.

But a lot of the times those people who guess as to what something is do not know they are incorrect and are only trying to help with something. So that doesn't count on all things.
Also, I have nothing wrong with how you feel, but if I was one of those people and I came upon this post I would feel very belittled.

Everyone is not an expert. If you have owned chickens of every species or ducks of every species for plenty of years you'd know what breeds were what... but if your a newcomer people easily mistake a duck for a chicken. Everything comes in time.
