Pest control Huh? I have always heard you can let them in the garden to eat bugs and they wont mess anything up. Have not had good luck with that! I will have to try it with my friendlier ones!
 
That is all about being dominant my younger drake is a pill that way.
I've got one of those too, he is second in command so he grabs a girl every chance he gets, even when she is going in to lay an egg.

Ditto. He is such a donkey's rear. He gives good birds though, that said i get a blue drake again.. he may have a problem.. and be getting his walking papers lol

Yep, actually a university here did a study on there fly eating capabilities, they are well documented for that especially in the horse world which is why i introduced them here in the first place.

It's pretty cool to watch a duck catch a fly! It seems to be combination of being lightning fast and very,very sneaky!

It is, and they start this VERY, VERY young in a matter of a couple days old. Sadly, my newest hatch is trapped in winter. so no buggies for them, they get snow though.
