And about the Americanas and EEs, I also for the most part, blame hatcheries for that mix up.

I was selling an EE roo at a livestock sale last weekend and a man came by and wanted my " Ameraucana" roo to go with his hens, I told him he was an Easter Egger not a pure Ameraucana and he said, " Well mine are purebred Ameraucanas, I got them from the feedstore" And I told him that anything from a feedstore or hatchery would be Easter Eggers and I tried to explain the difference, but I don't think he paid me much attention, but he bought the roo anyway, so I guess it will work out.

And I just got a PM asking if I have any "Easter Egger (araucana) hens for sale ? " so I assume that person doesn't know the difference either.

So I too mainly blame the hatcheries and their false advertisment.

I don't care if I sound like an idiot - if I have a question I ask, rather that than continue on my path...

But seriously, a good few folk with TONS of posts make the same mistakes, so its not all newbies...
