I just need to get this off my chest (rant)

I was mislead when I bought what was suppose to be Jersey Giants. The guy I bought them from did not know. He commonly buys from hatchery's. And they sent him 50 Australorps instead. lol And this happens ALOT. You get what you pay for when you buy chicks or eggs from Hatchery's. And sometimes even then you get burned when you pay alot.

I'm very new to chickens (only got my first ones mid-July) and I feel like I know maybe 5% of what's out there...

Am trying very hard to soak it all up and not make mistakes!

People make mistakes, if they are on here talking about it and are mixing the breeds up then they are most likely new and learning from this forum.
Once its been explained to them and they have a better understanding of it then you see less and less of the mistakes.
As you said you use to be one of those people until you figured it out.
So now you start a thread just to rant because those type of people annoy you so much that you need to get it off your chest?
In fact people that start threads just to rant are annoying to alot of people.

Eh, I don't mind ranting... I do plenty (mostly in my car, fellow drivers have given me some WEIRD looks)

But, it is really awesome when someone does point out a common mistake if they include linkage to educate.

I understand the rant and nearly everyone has something left to learn, and everyone was a noob at one time or another, what amazes me is that some just never "get it" and use the same language over and over despite polite (sometimes not so polite) corrected information.

Nice rant pointed at no one in particular No harm done. LOL

I have to admit..i STILL dont see the difference between EE'S and Ameracaunas...
I STILL think they both are mixed breeds...BUT thats just me being stubborn..

Well..i take that back..there IS a difference between the 2...BUT even some EE's ARE Ameracaunas...(just not able to qualify, because of feather colors..) So...yeah..i'm still confused..and most likely will always be..

And i dont care who knows it..

We have had several threads exactly like this in the past and it usually ends up with a bad ending, its starts off with a bad vibe when you start a rant to rip on people who you don't think are as smart as you are which is essentially what is being said here, with everyone chiming in with their most annoying mistakes.
In fact we lost a very good contributing member here a while back because of the very same pretense of this thread, she had a learning disability and the spelling and other things that were pointed out were things that she did as well and she recognized herself in the comments that people were making.
Someone else left right after that because they were upset that members here thought it was fun to list other people's shortcomings and lack of education or spelling skills.
Don't think people reading this don't recognize themselves in some of these comments that have been made.
We are here to teach people and offer support and encouragement, not to start a put down thread and act superior.
Its not very welcoming to new members, members that may not be well educated or have completely different lifestyles and priorities than the people nitpicking on spelling or breed concepts.
