I Just Told My Kids If They Dont Go To Bed They Will Sleep In The...

I could "make" my kids do alot, but the point is to teach them so later in life they have the skills to make the right choices.
Thanks for the reassurance, I along with my husband am doing my best.
When I met my husband he was too skinny, and now he eats everything I cook, and now he's just right lol.

rofl that's something I would do to my mom!

My youngest brother in law(10) pulled something similar with his father. His father was having an exam done by a dermatologist and the doctor asks "Have you had any kind of rashes?", the answer was "no". The 10 year old immediately puts on a face of confusions and looks at his dad "but, dad what about that one in your pants?!?". His dad blushed so bad, the 10 year old had gotten him good!!

My kids have been repeatedly threatened with being turned into newts, and I tell them they won't get better.

Also if you are newt, you have to go to newt school, which is where they send all the desks with boogers on the bottom, all the substitute teachers who smell funny, all the ripped books, all the seats with nails sticking out and all the broken playground equipment. They also have to live in a tank and eat bug burgers. My neice thought this was the funniest thing she ever heard and repeated it for ages.

We also have the "usual" outlandish threats...grounded for life, sold to the gypsies, not over my dead body, duct tape if you don't stop whining....

I threaten DS with "I will beat you like a drum & shake you like a maraca," which is funny since he is 16 y.o. and 5 inches taller than I am!
My mom used to tell us that she was going to the Kid Auction & she was in no mood to buy.

On my way home from the doctor's office with 5 year old DD last week, she turned to me and said, "Man, that doctor really mashed me like a potato!"

I have no idea where she got that saying... But I'm gonna start using it now!

when I babysit my cousins I tell them there is a big monster named dobby in the hall. They stay in bed pretty well now...
