I keep getting alert to accept push notifications.

On my profile I have clicked "accept push notifications" where I want to receive them (not for everything obviously), but every time I log out and then log back in again the next day I keep getting that alert, and I didn't used to, this is something new. Can somebody help me so this doesn't keep happening? Thanks.

I just tested it in Firefox and Chrome with a test account, and the "accept push notifications" isn't showing up for me.

If it's every-single-time you logout and log back in, I'm wondering if there's an issue with your browser's cookies or cache?

You may want to try logging-off BYC, clear your browser cache, and login again.

If that doesn't work, you may need to delete the BYC specific cookie.

I've had it pop back up if I haven't visited one of my smaller forums (on the same software) for a while, and I'm logged-out. I think it has to do with how long has gone by, my cookie status for that site / browser, etc.

I never have it pot up on BYC since I stay logged-in and am here all the time. LOL!

Note: The push notification permissions for a site are stored locally in the browser. So it would only be checking for existing permissions on that specific browser.

So, it's on a "per browser / per device" basis, and if your browser is blocking and/or resetting cookies, that might cause the issue of it asking again (because the browser isn't retaining what your answer was)

I logged off, cleared my history and logged back on. My phone did a software update and so far it hasn't asked again so I hope it's fixed itself. Thanks, Nifty!
