I killed a deer!

Great job! I'm still waiting to get my first deer. I've been hunting for a few years now (my father & grandfather were long time deer hunters).

Rifle season starts here in NH on Nov 12th. First two days is doe or buck... I can't wait! "If it's brown it's going down!" (I love venison!)

Last winter my DH got a deer and we also had some chickens & some pork slaughtered on our farm in the freezer. We ate almost all hunted/raised by us meat all winter (including a turkey we raised for Thanksgiving).... felt great to eat something we raised or hunted ourselves.

I havn't killed one this year, but last year I took a 180lb. 8 point. (Four on each side)

Our youth hunt here isnt until Jan!
