I know it probably gets discussed a lot...but I need some support :-)

Don't worry Julie. That chart is only updated by the data from people who post their statistics to that thread. Perhaps as time goes by, and more people post their stats, the chart data will more accurately reflect the wider possibilities.

Hey, if you post when your BO finally lays, yours may become the new record-holder!!

I have four and they are at 30 weeks. Only one looks like she might be thinking about it - comb and waddle but not red and the others are way behind. One doesn't even have a comb yet.

I'm with you.... I have 3/7 girls laying, they started 2 weeks ago, and the 4 girls that aren't are 2 barred rocks, and 2 Buff Orpingtons!!!!! They will be 24 weeks on Monday. They have been doing the "squat" for almost a month!!!! I can't believe at least ONE more hasn't laid yet!!! It is very frustrating!!

My BO were 27-29 weeks old before they started to lay.. I thought I was NEVER gonna have eggs... I purchased my girls at POL (18weeks old) and the first ones to lay were my BR @ almost 25weeks old. I have Ameraucanas and EE that are over 30weeks old and haven't gotten one egg from them....

My Buff Orp is 26 weeks old and frankly just looks and acts like an overgrown chick. She had no comb to speak of, is not interested in squatting like the other girls and seems interested only in junk food. She careens around the yard and climbs all over the lawn furniture like they're monkey bars. I've got two laying, two more getting ready to but I'm not expecting any eggs from the BO anytime soon but I think this is typical of the breed. My Blue Andalusian is also not interested in laying but she's had CP from an incubator problem and may never lay.

Mary
