I was told my lavender Brahma likes to go broody, she hasn't yet which is fine because our Roo isn't up to the task yet either but I'm so excited that we might be able to hatch our own chicks! I definitely need more land 🤣🤣
We don’t need more space for my chickens because they free range and my neighbors love them, they get them to come up to them in their porch and feed them sunflower seeds šŸ˜‚

I don’t have any pure lavenders, my two younger fully black ones are both half lavender, the one without puffy cheeks (crow berry) is a lavender silver laced and the one with the puffy cheeks(wolfs bane) is a lavender Amuracana(I can’t spell it šŸ˜…)

Crow was already shown but this one is Wolf

What happened to the babies?

Someone is bleeding from somewhere. They seem fine in themselves and I've got some corrid coming tomorrow (,I thought I already had it in my kit but it's the worm one not corrid)

In the meantime they've got garlic, honey, acv and oregano in their water to try and give them a helping hand until it comes.

Ah you are so lucky! We have what is considered a pretty big back garden for England but compared to the US it's probably the size of your bathroom 🤣

Oh no, I hope they get better!

This is the little chicks today.

The buff Orps comb has grown a little but there still isn't much colour šŸ¤ž

They’re so pretty… it’s crazy how dark much darker their feathers are then their baby fluff

I know it's really surprising isn't it! One of the SS (they may not be but as I don't know what they are for sure I'll stick with this) the head is feathering is coming in and some of the feathers are so dark.

It's fascinating to watch them change!

Just checked my dates and the Buff Orp is 5 weeks tomorrow and the comb is growing and pinking a little, could she still be pullet do you think? Wish I had two of these to compare with! Not much change in wattles which is good.

I think the SS are actually 2 days younger and their hasn't been a big change but one has seen a little comb growth, the one more feathered. Still a possibility of pullets?
