I helped a chickie out of the shell. It had been pipped ( a hole pecked in the egg)?? I think that's the term. For several hours and the chick seemed very weak inside, so even tho I know I'm not supposed to help them hatch....I did. I broke the she'll away and helped it out. It was peeping wildly as I did it and is now resting and drying off under Biig Mama, aka Henwyn. So fay, including the one I helped, we have 7 hatched, and 2 more eggs with movement.
I am being super annoying to Big Mama, but she is handling it well. I know I'm being impatient, but oh well. I need to know what's going on and im, well, I'm bored at the moment. So I'm spending way more time messing around with my birds than I need to. Hope I don't mess anything up with my over- attentive chick raising.
