Well I'm pretty sure mine died of exposure because he was too stupid to go back inside the coop and they are still only 8 wks old. He and 2 others were in the totally enclosed run (I do not open and close the pop door since it is covered)...the other 2 came running when my husband showed up, like rescue us! ..It was freezing rain and sleet.
So far the rest of the chicks seem to have figured out how to get in and out..so hopefully no repeats.
