I Lost all 35 chicks!!!!!

I looked at the first 2 pictures and saw a big empty space with no signs of a struggle.
SO I THOUGHT SOME JERK STOLE YOUR BABIES.

We really did have a total heart attack, and we meant to kind of poke fun at ourselves, but we deffinitely didn't mean to scare kids (except ours). Please give Cheyenne a big hug for us and tell her thank you so much for wanting to help us. What a wonderful little girl!!

All too familiar to me! I had a similar thing happen. I put my chicks out in an ex-pen with a coop for the day for the first time and when I went out in the evening to gather them up to put them in their cages for the night, my heart was in my throat too. What a relief to see them huddled up sleeping! Glad your chicks were okay too!

Happy to hear you found a healthy chicken pile! My babies get pretty tired of me finding them and shaking them all awake! I just wanna make sure they're sleeping good, ya know?

When i saw the first 2 pics I instantly thought "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH

there's a chicken thief in the neighborhood" then when the last pic came, I calmed down.

I haven't even gotten my chics yet, and the title of this thread made my stomach flip! They come in almost exactly one month, and although your post scared me to death, I am happy you posted it. I'm learning a lot about things to expect by reading what y'all are experiencing - so maybe I won't have as many heart attacks as those that have gone before me
