I Lost all 35 chicks!!!!!

It was pretty funny afterwards. We went back in the house, got the camera, and told the kids to stay in the house. We then took pics and went back inside and scared the poo out of the kids.

I love that chicky blanket, makes me want to sit next to them and pile them up in my lap! I have fewer but they do the same thing, just huddle up together against the same spot every night.

OMG you scared me to death. My 11 yr old, Cheyenne read this post first and yells "Mom, we gotta go help her find her babies...35 babies just gone" Naturally, I came running hearing how upset she was.

I think if she had not scrolled down, I would have been packing up the van!

Have you thought about a temporary divider to shrink their area a bit...let them get used to the size and then give them a little more and etc.?

They look soooo cute all huddled up together. Maybe a small light farther into the coop to brighten it so it is not so scary huge to them? Sorta a chick nite light...
