Ah, I think I can see it better now. Is it just one compartment, with a partial divider in the middle to provide shelter?

In that case, I'd probably be putting in one male and about 6-7 females. That will be a bit "light" on the population, but I wouldn't put two males in if it were me (others might) even with more girls. There just isn't enough hiding space or enough room for them to avoid each other if need be. If fertility isn't an issue you could add an extra female or two.

You may need to add additional doors. Make sure you can reach every part of the cage from outside without opening the top. I agree with others that you will want to cover it with smaller wire if this will be outside. Otherwise, raccoons and other creatures can reach through the wire and kill the birds. 1/2 inch hardware wire is not expensive in the quantity that you need for that cage.

If it will be inside a predator proof building then it should be okay with that wire for ADULT birds.

Ooh! I wish that I could find something similar on Craigslist in Maine! I have been searching high and low for something JUST like that, that is either really cheap or free!
