I love to watch them scratch around foraging, too. It's their favorite thing to do and they are always so happy when they're doing it. When the little ones do it, it's so adorable! We like to turn the chickens loose in the morning and sit on the patio with a cup of coffee. They always run to the patio for a sunflower seed snack and a little visit. Then they're off to scratch endlessly in the leaf litter.
