I made a rookie mistake. Help!

U cant really do anything what has happened is u have just cut a few of the veins that feed the yolk into the chick but aslong as it wasnt that bad it should be fine if it does hatch which I hope ot does keep an eye on it couse its possible itll be a bit weaker than other chicks

It has now been 24 hours after the first pip. I made the decision to help assist. Here is a picture now. Everything seems fine except part of the cord is still attached. What a tough little baby.

It’s crying and trying to stand up now. I think it will be okay. Whew.

Hopefully by tonight there are other chicks hatched under the broody and you can sneak this one back under her well after dark.

Update: The baby is outside and under the hen. Both are doing well and two more babies have hatched.
