I should also say that I work at a hospital and don't get up until 10:30 AM as I don't get off work until 1 AM, therefore a rooster would wake me too, LOL! Roosters, as beautiful and helpful to the flock as they are, are thought by too many to be very noisy in a city or suburb. When trying to re-write an ordinance to allow chickens (and its been happening all over our area) it has been better to start small and work your way up as with the proof of compliance in your corner will then make it easy to get more leeway. That's how our the city and local areas have been successful in doing so. Basically--if it works and you're looking to change the law quickly it helps to have lots of precedents to quote.
