I may, just MAY, have too many chickens! Eggs overload!

I understand about some folks needing it to be economical for them, but my chickens are my pets (& therapy). No different than the dogs. The money to care for the chickens doesn't come out of the house budget, so that's not an issue here.

I trade with a local dairy farmer for fresh milk

1 dozen eggs per gallon- it is awesome to have fresh milk and fresh butter

I also sell to the mailman, postmaster, and a few other regular customers that come up to the house.

Use some cows for target practice.

Imp- Hard boil them for a little punch.

Man you can bake TONS o' goodies from them...cakes, cookies, pies...& sell them off that way...Donate to a local food bank too...

A neighbor just came over and bought 5 dozen. Since I was outside anyhow, I went and checked nestboxes. Brought another 11 in the house.

To bad you can't sell the eggs from your property. I have over 100 birds and sell 6+ dozen a day. The local feed store sends people and I have a flyer up at the local TSC, plus my regular customers. I have been doing it for a number of years. Most of my new customers are from my older customers. All of my birds have been tested by the state so I am certified.

Bring 'em to yer local church, or set up a nice lil' roadside stand...
