What do chicken mites look like? What are the symptoms the a chicken with mites will exhibit? What is the course of treatment to prevent mites and what is the course of treatment if my chickens ( 5 months old) have mites? Thanks…..I have lots to learn.

I remember (verify with the veterans) that lethargy, pale combs and wattles, puffed feathers, lack of appetite, staying off to themselves, etc. can all be signs of external parasite infestations, as well as many other health issues... (Including no signs or symptoms at all...) mostly it will depend on you to detect any problems.
I am with you on the learning 'curve', so hope this helps...
