My male duck is very protective of the female and will bite my legs or hand ! Yet I can pick him up no problem ? He always comes up to me and nibbles all over my jacket and arms ? I have no idea what he is doing !

I was thinking of getting another female again ? The male was so much calmer with two he was not so protective ! What do you think ?

I think it's a good thought. Remember, duck relationships can be odd….but generally, adding a female to the mix works out.

Not good , still can't lift her leg ! There's no vet around here that would touch her ! I will just keep putting her in warm water see if I can carefully manipulate it myself ! Everybody says to put her down , I just can't do that ! She is only 6 months old !

I have two pekin ducklings about 5 weeks old and a male and female pekin a year old the male is very aggressive to the ducklings! I have to watch him around them all the time ! Is there a way to introduce them to the older ones ?

They are too small to be with the adult ducks. They need to be about the same size and slowly introducted. Use some kind of fence so that they can see each other for a while and then slowly do supervised visits.

Thank you ! I have another question .. The two pekin duckling I got , one has a flesh colored beak and is much smaller , I'm assuming there is some other blood line in there somewhere ! Could that be the case ? I got the ducklings from TSC and sexted them myself for females !
