Brooder is done! I use a giant metal horse trough and large flake bedding. I bought the big feeder and waterer, cuz I'm hoping to get good at this and eventually sell chicks at my local critter swap. Right now I've just got the small waterer in there until more hatch.

Do yall think I should put the feeder lid on? I've seen the chicks at the feed store stuck all the way in those holes! That scares me!

That membrane is looking pretty dry to me! Any input on if I should intervene? I'm feeling like I really should...

He is chirping pretty loudly and still in the same spot. I'm getting stuff together to help him now. Been reading about assisting hatches. I can see inside the shell and it doesnt look like any veins, so here's to hoping I dont mess this up.:barnie hes still in the same position as a couple hrs ago. Any tips for snatching him out so I dont shrinkwrap anyone else? I've got the humidity jacked up in her . Its almost 80% in the bator with both humidifiers

Alright here we go. Fingers crossed!!! The other one is pecking at the bone stuck in the egg now. Looks like the one stuck might have a bit of scissor beak

Well hes out. He was ready to come out, there was no bleeding, no live veins and no yolk, and I'm worried I might have left him in there a little too long. He looks deformed. Idk if you can see it through the pic, but I can see his organs through his skin and his neck seems bent weird. What do you think?

Hes got this green stuff on hi . Didnt notice any bad smells, and I've got a good smaller. I had to take the other check out of the bator and put him by himself in the broader unfortunately. He was picking on the new hatchling
