That is such good news about the little ones recovering. Im so glad vitamin therapy did the trick. Pass the word whenever possible. Lets give folks hope so they dont needlessly cull.

Lack of vitamins can be just as harmful as actual illness - in people and animals.
So many people have parakeets and cockatiels and they die at a young age because all they get fed are seeds - but need to also have fresh fruits and veggies - and it's because of a lack of proper vitamins and minerals.
With the first chicks I ever had (last spring) I fed them treats once they hit a few weeks - with grit of course. Things like mealworms, fruits & veggies and cheese. I never had any issues with them. I went the no treats route this time around and lo & behold they're getting sick. I'm going to go back to my old way!
Now that is so interesting to me. The one chick who got sick of mine, lived on meal worm treats. Im pretty sure it is the lack of variety provided by the other foods all the other ate. Still today she holds out for meal worms, the difference is Im mixing them with nutritional yeast so she gets her vit B.
