I need help motifying a dog run into coop.

I would definitely use the chicken wire with the small holes. Your area and the type of critters you have will determine how much coverage you will need (sides, bottom, top, etc.)

That pic with the child is precious!

I been thinking about making a pen out of a couple dog runs(if I can find some used) I was thinking about something digging under.I would like to set the run up on treated lumber or railroad ties and use conduit straps to fasten it to the wood.I also thought it may be good to get some large flat rocks and place around the run tight to each other so it would be harder to dig up close to the run.It would look nice on yours that way, like there was a walkway around your run.You could use sand or small pea gravel in between the cracks. just a thought. will

I love using the dog kennel pannels. They can easly be moved if you have to. The are easy to work with and alittle motifying goes along way.

Mine are landscaped all the way around the bottom with large to med rocks. Have chicken wire 36 inches up on the one that we use for peeps and smaller birds like fizzels. The rocks look nice too if you spend alittle time doing it. Have wire tops on all of them right now. But I am building a solid roof in the big hen run kennel 12x24 I think it is off the top of my head, in a few months to cut down on the mud and give them more snowless place over winter.

Don't have alot of problem with preditors trying to get in. Possibly because of the large coondog the lives like 10 ft away. So we didn't have to go with heavy hardware cloth on anything. Just chicken wire. But if you have preditor problems you already know about you might want to use the tougher stuff as a precaution.

I use the same. You can run chickenwire along the bottom to keep the babies in...BUT...if you have a predator problem, shut them in at night! I Have watched a weasel slink right through my chain link....so I would DEFINATELY secure then at night.

On the top I have deer netting and I have the floor completely wired in with chicken wire.

I used dog kennel panels to create my run also. It's about 30' x 18'. I originally used the deer netting around the entire thing - top & sides - when the hawks started showing up. I noticed little rips in the deer netting and got scared. I pulled all that down and then used the pvc chicken wire instead. No more rips. And like jimnjay said it's very easy to work with - just cuts with scissors. But I still won't leave them out in the run at night.
