I belong to a poultry club and one of our breeders is giving LO chicks away. She hatches them out by the dozens. That must have been a long time ago that there were only 1,000 in the US. People who can get $16 to $20 a chick know the blood lines and you can see pictures of the breeding stock. Since you ordered the eggs off Ebay and don't know anything about the breeder or the lines, I wouldn't think you could get more than $5 a chick.
