I need help picking chicken breeds for my new flock. Any advice?*PICS*

btw, I'm right smack in the middle of town, with neighbor's homes 20' to either side. The backyards are really big, though, and no one knew I had chickens until I told them.

EVERYONE knew the guy down the block did, as his ba-gawk outside and from a distance it sounds like someone skinning a cat.

I have a question. Is the Golden Comet also know by any other names?I dont see many people talking about them but I hear they are a great breed.I am getting 25 of them Thursday.I am reading everything I can but seeing alot of different names.

Am I the only one that's noticed that Guesswhatchickenbutt (where ya think up a name like that?) has not posted the results of their chicken research? I think with all the help we've provided, that they owe us the results. And a pic or two of the birds they've chosen...

What do you all think? Maybe they chickened out on us!

Bock! Bock!

You're right. I'm still kinda new around here and I have forgotten on a couple of occasions to come back to threads to update the fine people who've been kind enough to give me such great advice.

Without you people, I'd still be a chickenless loser. Thanks to your great advice, I'm the proud mama to three little chicks.

So here are the girls...

I got a Barred Rock, a Buff Orpington and an Americauna that is not a real Americauna, but an Easter Egger - LOL - I love her just the same!

Well, that's more like it GWCB!

I'm glad you've come to a decision and have a new little family. I hope they'll bring you lots of joy, like ours. I'm sure you'll be very busy keeping the HOA fooled. GL! Those people need to get some chickens and a life!

Anyway, they're very cute and I'm sure you're proud.

GL!
