Ok so I am a first time chicken owner. I'm raising 8 babies all around 5 weeks of age. I have 5 different breeds. I'm having trouble identifying one of my babies. He is so different. He is a frizzle for sure BUT I cannot identify anything else. He has 5 toes and has feathers growing from his legs. He is about half the size of the others. I have been researching for weeks. I have tried to find other chickens with his coloring but it's difficult because his feathers are literally trying to run away from his body lol... Plus he only has about 50% of his feathers. Also his feathers are thin almost like noodles.

Hi RobinFrances ~ First off Welcome to BYC! You've come to the right place for answers to your questions & you will find a lot of very nice people here.
It's important that you share a picture of the chick you are trying to figure out. By your description I suspect that you have a frizzled or sizzled Silkie. Is his skin black in color?

Glad you're here !

A must have for your poultry is a FIRST AID KIT for any issues that would arise. (https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/suggestions-for-a-first-aid-kit.1150128/) and (https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...essential-supplies-and-how-to-use-them.64830/)
It's definitely better to have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it.

Also, make sure your coop(s) have a proper amount of VENTILATION. (https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...-there-and-cut-more-holes-in-your-coop.47774/) Your chickens will absolutely thank you for it!

One last thing, if you're into gardening, feel free to join this years SEED SWAP (https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/seed-swap.1220129/)
