My little lady and I are on day 3 of sour/impacted crop. She has been on a diet of yogurt, boiled eggs, and ACV water. I have burped her a few times a day and her crop has definitely gone down.. but it still feels like a bag of rocks and her droppings are pretty watery. Is this a natural/normal part of recovery or should I still be quite concerned? She hasn't needed to be burped today and I have been giving her regular crop massages but she has been holding her head close to her shoulders and chirping a lot today. I am just at a loss.

Are you treating the sour crop with perscription Nystatin or OTC Monistat? I keep hearing about this burping thing...not sure where that information is coming from but it won't heal your bird.

Not yet, I've been religiously reading posts on here about the monistat, i think that is my next step. It is normal though for her to have grit in her crop saved?

I wouldnt worry about the grit. She'll ingest more if she needs it if you free choice provide it to her. Whats more important is you heal your girl
