So my chick is three weeks old and he looked healthy since the day he was born. But today when I went to check him in the morning his eye was close shut and swollen. When i open his eye to check it it had a green layer over it. Can someone tell me what to do or what has happen? I'm worried because he has been looking tired all day.

When chickens get sick they close their eyes and ruffle their feathers to conserve energy. Generally they're pretty unresponsive. First thing to do is get him warm and comfortable and separate him from the rest of the flock.

Head to your nearest feed store and get a dilutable antibiotic and put it in the water source; ensure it's the only water source available. If he's not drinking, use a syringe to force him to take some in. Also give him some electrolytes if you can.

When I had a similar issue with one of my girls, I put the antibiotics in with the water my flock is drinking too in case whatever was making her sick was contagious; you wouldn't want them all sick. She came good after 2 days and is the second in the flock to begin laying (about 10 weeks after her scare).

Depending on how much your chicken(s) mean to you, you might want to visit the vet.

It is possible that there could be a respiratory disease such as mycoplasma (MG) or the chick could have been pecked in the eye and developed an infection. Respiratory diseases from carriers can show up around this age. Are there any other signs of a respiratory disease, such as nasal drainage, sneezing, ruffled feathers, or sleepiness? Tylan 50 found at feed stores, can be given orally 1/4 ml twice a day, for 5 days to treat MG.
