I need help!!

The 3 others are asleep under the light so their happy it's just this one chick that is not happy with anything and did not have this behavior earlier in day when I got it.

if the crop of the peeping chick is empty, I would work hard to get it to eat and drink.

If the crop is full, the bottom is clean, and the temperature is right, and it STILL keeps peeping. .. there might be something internally genetically wrong with it. Just keep caring for it... but it might suddly die for no apparent reason. Just FYI.

One more random unlikely thought... check the toes too. Make sure there are no sores on the toes or odd defect there.

Toes look good. I'm gonna see if I can get it to maybe eat and drink more and see if that helps

Get a small box and cut half of one side off and put it in their box they can play in it and cool off. Put some bedding in the cardboard box they will jump on it and love it. They also like trying to balance on paper towel or toilet paper rolls. Or make a ramp they can run up and down. Try holding her and petting her for a while. Hold her in a towel in your arms and she will snuggle with you. Best of luck!

Ok. I don't have too much else to offer, other than keep it warm and comfortable. have you tried forcing it to drink a bit of water? lightly dip its beak in the water? as Alaskan said, sometimes they don't adapt to the eating and drinking idea too well. I have had several in the past that have had food stuck in the crop(rare with little ones, but it does happen) and a few sips of water helped them clear it. again, just a suggestion.

Yeah seems nothing is making this chick happy and I tried getting it to eat and drink and doesn't want anything to do with it. I put it back with other ones and is still going non stop. Holding it close wrapping it did nothing.

can you tell how much is in the crop?

You can compare the crop size with the crops on the other chicks

She is my biggest chick. I've dipped her beak into water she drinks. She pecked the food once and won't again. Hold her still chirps very loud. I'm stumped on what is causing this.
