I need pre-fab coop help!

I saw one (maybe on here.. ?) where they took an old clothes dryer, took off the back and removed the drum. That is the 'coop' for a couple of hens and it's attached to a tractor type run so that they hop in and out of the dryer door.
I assume they arraigned extra ventilation somehow - maybe replaced the back with securely attached hardware cloth?

I think what might work for you is stopping by your local Home Depot or Lowes and looking at those plastic storage sheds. They range in price. You might be able to find one which suits your budget and life style design. They are also more convenient when it comes to clean up time. Just take a hose to them. The only other thing required would be providing a run area. A few 4" x 4" posts and hardware cloth staples and a hammer and your up and running.

Do you plan of getting adult chickens or chicks? If I may make another suggestion it would be if you do not have much time on your hands due to the home remodeling it might be best to wait until you do have more time because once you have chickens you will see a lot of your time will have to be devoted to them.

even tho you don't think you want a small prefab shed, honestly, you won't regret going that route, I think you'll be sorry if you buy something like the small coops you posted, down the road you'll wish you had something just a little bit bigger, easier to clean and better for your chickens.

I am with the ones who said to check HD or Lowes, they have small prefab sheds for like 400 bucks, just add a couple of roosts/nesting boxes your all set..
