I need setting buddies, just put eggs in the incubator!! 1/14/13

i have 14 lavendar orpington eggs and 16 silkie eggs in the incubator... the first ones went in on the 12 of jan.. and the second ones on the 16... both are from shipped eggs so hope i get something

I put 11 Hinc JC Lavender Orpington eggs in the bator on the 16th. I am squeecited! These are shipped eggs, so I can hardly hold myself back from candling. I'm slapping my hands until Wednesday the 23rd.

Chickens can always make a person happy. My mom was upset and so I brought her over to my incubator and showed her one of the little beating hearts and all the veins. That cheated her right up.

It's day 4 and last night I candled 3 or 4 of the eggs. I'm going to wait until day 7 to candle again before I throw any out.

Well how is everyone doing? My hubby and I have been getting ready for our new chicks. Because we live in Florida and the weather is warm we plan to have an out side brooder for our chicks once they are a few weeks old. I have an inside brooder for them if it does get cold so I can just bring them in. I am so excited. I can't wait till they hatch.

Yay! Mine are due to hatch next week. I have 3 brooders already set up in my house and now I will have to make a 4th lol. My DH said we are going to need a new house soon so we have room for us lol. When are yours due to hatch?

Just candled my eggs and i got 7 out of 12 with something going on. Momma is a real trooper as we have been below -30C here for a week now. Ours are due Feb. 3/4!!
