I Need Some Health Tips Please =)

You cant beat the old fashioned remedies........

Put Vick vapourub on your chest and gt someone to put it on your back in the lung area. (as you are on prescribed meds DO NOT use any essential oils directly on your skin! You can put a lavender pouch in your room but not on your pillow, they can interact with your medications and you will become ill)

DONT burn the Vick rub in an incense burner (dangerous) but do put a dessert spoon in a bowl, half fill with boiling water and leave it in your bedroom, the vapours will help you to breathe.

Honey Lemon and ginger drink is fantastic.

Plenty of sleep (if you can)...prop your pillows so you are not lying down, but semi upright

Really old fashioned now......get an onion cut it in half, put on plate, put one half on your kitchen window and the other half in your bedroom......when it has really dried up..repeat the process and keep repeating it all through the winter..........you should fnd that after you get over this attack you should remain free of viruses and colds and flu.....it is a very old fashioned way of keeping germs at bay...I do it....and so far...cold free this winter....

It may sound crazy but it works!!

Get well soon dear Spirit Lifter......((((HUGS))))

It does work truly.....you will still get farmers even today hanging bunches of onions in the cattle / calve sheds to keep pnuemonia at bay......I am going to try it also in my chicken coops as I have a couple of birds with the sniffles......

At the first sign of cold or flu. Zi-Cam.

If it's already got a start there are zinc lozenges out there that will help. (Cold-eze... has helped me with the flu before)

NyQuil at night sometimes works for me.

TheraFlu for during the day.

Lots of liquids. Stay down as much as you can.

Shucks almost forgot. CHICKEN Noodle SOUP!

Eucalyptus oil in an oil burner does work.

One other idea that came up through the family that works if you can tolerate spice.

1 small jalpeno pepper
6 cloves of garlic
8 tblsp butter

Crush the pepper and garlic then add to the butter.

Take a teaspoon of that every few hours and congestion clears quickly.

drinking a lot of extra water will help to thin the secretions and make them easier to move. Mucinex is an over-the-counter product that is good for helping clear out secretions too. Check with the pharmacist before you buy it. Tell him all your allergies first and have them cross check it for you. We don't want another hive episode! Take a hot shower, as warm as you can comfortably stand it, and blow as much of it as you can as often as you can. Don't blow if it won't move the secretions, or you will blow it up into your ear canal instead and cause an ear infection. I am so sorry you have not been feeling well. I got sick last week too, but it was only a cold. If the cold moves down into your chest, please go see the doctor and ask if you should start antibiotics. Stay warm, stay safe, sleep well. Drink one more glass of water.

Sounds funny but get someone to make you some HOME MADE chicken noodle soup. NOT FROM A CAN---NOT FROM A BOX--NOT FROM INSTANT ANYTHING.

there's something about the chicken carcas that when roasted and made into chicken soup along with the herbs spices and veggies that has amazing healing properties.

Secondly, pour yourself a super hot bath, as hot as you can stand, put in a cup or so Epsum salts, and soak yourself neck deep until the water starts to cool and you get proony.
That will help the achs and pains, and will help you sweat out the yuck in ya.
sip your soup and drink as much water as you can sip it all the time.
