I need some help please.

I just came home and my son told me that one of my girls had blood on her bottom. I went out to check her out and the first thing I noticed was that (sorry if I sound stupid) the red thing on her head was drouped over and not standing streight up. I picked her up and carried her over to the table and when I was examing her there was a lot of dried blood on her feather below her butt hole (sorry for the ingnorance) I cleaned her all up and I did not see any scrapes or cuts around her botton area I did notice a lot of her butt feathers missing so I am not sure if something tried to attached her or what. can someone help me understand this please.

hmmm, can you clean her up and find a source for the blood? I would keep her separated, check her poop, see if that's normal.
Could be cocci, could be a cut, too early to tell yet. how old is she? Is she eating and/or drinking? Is she acting ill? any other details you can give us will help. possibly related to egg laying? is she egg bound? or too young for that.

She is 7 months old and has been laying eggs successfully for over two months now. My son who first went and saw her said that there was an egg and it also had blood on it so it must have come out with the egg. I cleaned her and I did not notice any cuts or scraps on her skin.

Oh yes and she was eating but after I cleaned her she seemed a little dazed but she was active because when I wet her with the water she tried to run

could be you have a hen, or hens, that have developed a bad habit of vent pecking.
this could become a very serious problem since they will peck more after they see blood...
and they can and will peck her to death.
watch them and see if this is what could be happening..whichever hen is doing it must be separated for a while from the others ..to break the habit..if she continues, separate again..
she will teach the others to do it..

also..separate this injured hen till she heals..or is cleaned u with no blood showing.

what all do you feed?

describe the housing (size, etc) during the day when I am home they run free in the yard other wise they have a large run

how many chickens do you have? I have four RIR and she is the alpha bird and has been since she goit bigger then the other three.

describe the nest boxes. they each have seperate boxes but when they lay eggs its when they are out side and they basically created their own she has a hole that she created and I have tried to add soft grass or something for comfort which she will not have (as I said she is the boss)

what all do you feed? I give them mesh as that is the only thing that they like besides unsalted trail mix which is a treat I give them in the late afternoon (its has seeds, fruit, yogart bites)

is it laying mash?
check the bag or attached tag for protein content..

could she have laid a very large egg?
check the vent for any blood or drainage.
feel belly/vent area for any heat or swelling.

keep her confined if you can so you can keep check on her..
watch the droppings for any blood.
describe the droppings..color and consistency.
give electrolytes in water..try to get a commercial mix if you can..
in a pinch you can use diluted Pedialyte (unflavored if possible).

has she been wormed?
