Dad is VERY sick. Here's what I know:

A: He is retaining water
B: All the scans he has done say "There's nothing wrong with him"
C: He's been like this since early July
D: The doctors he's been to have no clue what's wrong with him (He's been to Norfolk and and Santa Fe)
E: I'M SCARED!!!!!!

So if he... kicks the... bucket... WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?!!!!!?? I'M *bleep*ING SCARED!!!!!!

Thanks for listening. I nee some cyber hugs and/or some tips on Dad's sickness. (Come on, you are BYCers! You know everything about anything!)

I don't know what to say, but have faith

And keep your chin held high I'm sure he can get through it. Could he have a Urinary blockage.. or possibly prostate problems causing him to retain all that water? but then his bladder would probably burst. I'm not sure PK.. I'll hope for the best

i speak blessing over you right now my friend! and peace that passes all understanding to fill you instead of fear. know that i am praying for you and for your dad right now.

water retention can mean that kidneys need help or that the heart needs help. prayers for the doctors to have wisdom and discernment.

Prayers headed your way.

Water retention can mean many things. Anything from kidney problems to congestive heart failure.

Sometimes parents don't share everything they know.

Hang in there.

Thanks all. I just needed to let someone know.

I'll see if I can tell my parents what y'all said. *sniffle*

I'm sorry PK....I hope it turns out OK...try not to worry, maybe your parents are trying to spare you some details, so you don't worry. I know, I'd be like "tell me everything!"

PK,

We talk all the time here and I'm not sure how you view God but hear me out on this.

Everything in life happens for a reason. Sometimes those reasons aren't very clear to us or make any sense at all. When people say "have faith" try hard to believe that there is a reason for it and everything will work out like it's supposed to. Maybe your dad needs to have this problem so it forces him to find the right place to get care. There are endless possibilities.

It's ok and natural for you to be feeling fear. You love your Dad so being scared shows how much you really do love him. Now take that love you feel and turn it into faith, faith that Dad will get though this.
