I need unbias picture opinions, please help me!

Yeah... What is your backup plan if you drive 5 hours to get there and it's not the dog you think it is? Do you think you might get her anyway?

Good luck with this! I hope you have finally found your dog again!

I posted an ad to Craigslist begging for information regarding Cheyenne. The volunteer at the shelter saw the post and responded within the week.
I know I could be setting myself up for heartache all over again, but the shelter dog resembles Cheyenne way too much for me to NOT go look. DH saw the pix and video the volunteer sent this morning and started crying because he swears that's his dog. We're going to go on Wednesday instead. DH says he doesn't care if he goes to work without sleep, he wants her back like yesterday. I just have to call the shelter and tell them we'll be coming a few days early.

Thank you everyone for the well wishes. I truly hope it's her. I'm not sure if she responds to Cheyenne and she might not respond to it at all coming from a stranger. I'll know as soon as I see her. Chey used to smile when she got excited to see people she knew, she'd raise her hackles and shake her head. I was concerned about the toe coloring too, but like I said, it's been years and dogs can change drastically. The rest of her is too darn close to not go look. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if we didn't go.

If anyone prays, please say a prayer for us.

Judging by the second set of pictures, I think it's your dog, That bump on the face that most dogs have is in the exact same place on both dogs.

To be honest, I have no idea. I know we'll be crushed. I can't say that Ian will want to adopt the dog if it's not Cheyenne, since I wasn't allowed to adopt anything that had lab or pitt in it because it would remind him of her. So, I really can't say. I know that DH is overly excited and an emotional wreck. He was more distraught over rehoming Chey than I was (and I was pretty darn depressed) and I don't know what I'll do if I break his heart again

Please pray it's her.

I hope it is her for the dogs sake as well as you and your hubby. Some people don't understand the emotions that lead to letting a beloved pet go to a new home. Very seldom is it any thing other than putting the pets needs first. I understand the heartbreak and sure hope she is your baby.

I so understand what you are feeling.

We rehomed a yorkie mix last fall, immediately regretted it, but at the time thought we were doing what was best for Gizmo. I think a week went by before we flat out asked for her back, offered to buy her back, offered to buy them another yorkie or small dog...etc...they replied saying our Gizmo had died. She was only 21 months old, UTD on everything, no way do I believe she had died.

The woman told me she thought I was nuts and crazy and that if we had loved our dog we would have never let her go.

I will never rehome another dog or any other household pet!

I feel your pain.

I cannot wait to get out there on Wednesday. I'm going to be a ball of nerves for 3 days here...
