I need unbias picture opinions, please help me!

Oh, I'm SO glad you found her!

I'm so glad for you that it was Cheyenne. My only concern is on using the shock collar after everything she's obviously been through.

I urge you to talk to as many dog rehabilitators and vets as you can find before you go that route. I'm not an expert but I don't think you'd be amiss to do a little research first to see if the shock collar could harm her personality & well being further. Hopefully, with time (probably lots of it) and gentleness as flufnstuffs mentioned, she'll get back to who she was before.

Congratulations again :|

I have to agree with Sianara. I think a shock collar would be the wrong way to go, especially right now. I would also check with a behaviorist or several and do some research on the best course of action. After finding your long lost friend, you don't want to turn this into a nightmare for all involved.

I'll have DH call our vet this morning and see what her idea on a best course of action would be. Chey doesn't have any aggression what-so-ever towards people, but she does get overly excited then jumps and nips though.
Honestly, I have my reservations because she's so different personality/behavioral wise, but Ian swears 100% it's her.

I am so glad that you found her. I still cant believe it. She was obvioulsy meant to be with you.

You should take a blanket or towel, and let Zoey sleep with it, and do the same for Cheyenne, then the next night, switch the towels so they can sleep with eachothers scent.

Zoey's not crate trained, she sleeps in our bed. I'd rather not crate train Chey, but at the moment, I feel like it's my only option. I don't want her to sleep outside, I want her to have her own place to feel secure, but I don't want to trap her. Zoey's used to being inside most of the day and I don't want to bring her in and leave Chey out or even bring Chey in and cage her.
I'm just not sure what to do.
The scent thing is a good idea, I'll throw in something of Zoey's tonight, for Chey to sleep with, but I don't know how I'll do the vice versa.

I just found the link, read all ten pages, and read your blog.

What an absolutely amazing story. I had my doubts on the first pics that were posted, but the second set nailed it! I was on page seven, with tears streaming down my face doing this--->

DH thought I was crazy! LOL! I am so glad that you found her. It will take a while for her to get used to everything. So don't give up.

We went through a similar situation with our Mastiff, I was going to be gone for 2 months. Lady with Mastiff rescue agreed to take him. I talked to her on the phone almost everyday. Up until I was driving back to get him, then her phone "mysteriously" got turned off and she moved. Made me sick. Searched for years. I still look for him. How hard could it be to find a Mastiff, right? It is heartbreaking, and I am so glad you found your Cheyenne. What an INCREDIBLE story!

Like sred98 I somehow missed this thread until this morning. I just read all 10 pages and your blog too. Of coarse I sat here and cried like a big baby! I am SO happy for you and your family that you found your Cheyenne. I had to rehome a cat named George 2 years ago when I moved to a different town. I miss her every day. I have no way of ever getting her back. In one of your posts you said you would never rehome again. I am with you on that one. It is just to hard. Years ago a lady gave me a bllack lab puppy. Her name was Oreo! The woman was really doing what was best for the dog. I had her for a little over a year. Then one day the lady called me saying she was in a better position now with a large yard in the country. She told me how much she missed Oreo and would I consider giving her back. As much as I loved her I said yes. I'll tell you the smile on the ladys face when she saw Oreo will stay with me forever. Oreo broke into a dead run when she saw her other family walking towards the house! I am so happy for you!!! Love and kindness do wonders, soon she will be "your" dog again.
