I need your expert eyes

Does she have green legs? My best guess would be a wyandotte mix, or maybe a cochin mix. Definitely not a purebred chicken.

She was originally sold to us as a Cuckoo Marans


She was originally sold as a Cuckoo Marans at a few days old, it quickly became pretty clear that that wasn't the case, due to her comb and obviously she never developed the coloring. So yes, we we're pretty sure that she was not purebred. But maybe the feathered feet are some leftovers from the Marans

Makes sense. Did you get her from a breeder? She could be a blue Wyandotte/French Marans cross then. I believe those are the feather footed Marans.

We did, along with some other lovely French black copper Marans. He has a decent reputation and our other Marans are gorgeous. But there was clearly a little hanky-panky going on in her case

The feathered legs could have come from a Cochin or Brama. The heavy eye brow makes me think Brama or Cornish. At any rate it's likely a mixed breed. But very pretty!

She's a crossbred, no doubt about that. "Likely" a Wyandotte cross to get the rose come but not necessarily.

French Cuckoo Maran x Wyandotte. Possibly Blue Wyandotte, but those are kind of rare.
