I ordered chicks for the first time...

They may still get there this afternoon.
When I ordered mine they shipped on the 27th, I got them on the 28th. Around 1:00 p.m. the PO called.

I am in Ohio and Ideal is in Texas! 1 day!!! Whoohoo! That was really fast. And all of the chicks were fine! None DOA. They are all growing nicely. I do think though they send me an EE roo instead of a pullet. Oh well, 1 out of 12 is not bad!

I live in southeast Georgia (near Savannah) and they got them to me over night too. The PO called me at 7:30 that morning and let me get them before they even opened.
All mine are happy and healthy so far. (knock on wood)​

they'll be here they just take time i'm waiting for mine but i'm not excited because they are coming sometime on february so i'm not excited but when i get closer to the date i will be!

we called our PO again. They aren't on the afternoon truck. He was very nice and told us that the truck just came in and he would check it and call us back if they were there. He called us back anyway and told us that they weren't. He did say that there is a truck that comes in sometime in the middle of the night that doesn't get checked until morning. So it looks like we won't get them today

They're here! The post office called me at 7:30 this morning. I'm getting ready to go pick them up, as soon as I'm sure my breakfast will stay down.

Yay morning sickness...

I'm soooo excited!! The post office lady said she'd had them by her desk since they came in early this morning, she said she was keeping them warm. I'll let you all know how they are in a few hours!
