....wow...
adorable chicks, by the way! (they seem so squishable . . .)

Update:

Most of the chicks are still doing well. I was watching them though and noticed one had what seemed to be a pasty butt. I picked her up and it seemed to be pretty hard so I quickly researched a few topics her on pasty butt. I gave her rear a warm bath and was able to get the poo off. I then tried to look closely at the rest and found about 14 or so that need the hard poo washed/ treated.

They seem to have good appetites and are very active (even the ones that had the pasty butts). From my reading here, I assume this is probably the result mainly of stress from shipping. The temp seems good (95 degrees, plus I doubled the size of their brooder for more room). The food is Dumor 20% Chick Starter from Tractor supply.

I've seen mineral oil, vaseline, and olive oil mentioned as being good to apply after cleaning up a chick with pasty but. Which is the best?

Thanks,
Bullwinkle

P.S. I would like to thank every one on this forum for all of the great information and help. Without this forum I doubt if I would have thought about needing to clean the little chicks. You all are full of so much great information.... Thanks!
