Fluffytail nodded and turned to the highrock. He sat next to Nightpaw and felt their pelts briefly brush. He shot a glance at her but her eyes were firmly fixed on the leader. He curled his tail over his paws and looked at Auburnstar. He was enjoying his time with Nightpaw and the warriors.

Auburnstar stared deep into the tortoiseshell's eyes, trying to perceive what had brought her to give the kit the name of her comrade.
Still, Auburnstar had respected Luna before she had left, no matter what others thought.
"I will accept the name. Lunapaw." She stared into Nightkit's eyes. "Until you become a warrior yourself, Nightkit, you will known as Lunakit. Your mentor will be Galefeather."

Shadytail was sitting with his brother Mousenose and mewed, "Our apprentices will be up there soon." His eyes were still trailing Honeycloud but he knew that whatever feelings he had to put time into being a mentor first. Maybe he should ask her hunting just for a day, but then what? What if he fell for her more than he already was. He noticed that she was looking at him and he shuffled his paws.

Darkkit barely noticed Emberfeather or her soft assurances.
He was too anxious, anxious to become a medicine cat. He had been waiting for moons. He knew his clan needed him.
"Darkpaw will become medicine cat apprentice, under Rainshadow," came Auburnstar's soft mew.
"Lightpaw, your mentor will be Shadytail," she continued.
